Yajuj Majuj & Dajjal

My thoughts on The Speaker's views which he shared at https://youtu.be/wEU54WwKrIU hereinafter referred to as The Speaker.

Intoxicated with technology, our world is deteriorating and increasing in corruption. The Speaker advocates educating our youth in secular sciences, particularly STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).  As good as it may sound, we need to think deeply about it, and its consequences. We need to be well-grounded in the scripture to distinguish between truth and falsehood, lest we end up worshipping and serving Taghut (طاغوت).

Yajuj Majuj is an important topic from end-times' perspective. Surah Al-Kahf is supposed to be a Noor, and a means protection against the fitna of Dajjal. The last story in Surah Al-Kahf informs us that Dhu-al-Qarnayn contained the fitna of Yajuj Majuj, and that they will be released when Allah ﷻ 's Promise comes to pass, that is when The Hour (السَّاعَةُ) is about to be established. According to a hadith attributed to our dear Prophet , the fitna of Yajuj Majuj is supposed to occur after the fitna of Dajjal has been eliminated through Jesus (Isa عليه السلام). Surah Al-Kahf begins with a warning of great violence from near Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ, and a good news for the believers. It also warns those who say the false statement that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى has taken a son. According to the Hadith, while  Jesus (Isa عليه السلام) will be able to destroy the Dajjal, he will be powerless against the Yajuj Majuj. He (Isa عليه السلام), and the believers with him, will hide in a cave, and pray for deliverance. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى will then send some worm to destroy the Yajuj Majuj.

I have posted my learnings from Surah Al-Kahf in a number of posts. Recently, someone shared The Speaker's YouTube video: https://youtu.be/taNQ0-Y5Ex4. After listening to it, I realised that the extra-terrestrial explanation is less tenable; and  explained to that person how the geographical location of the first two travels can be identified on planet Earth from the description in the ayaat. The post Dhu al Qarnayn visited the Polar Regions? explains Q18:86 to be North Polar region in Autumn, while Q18:90 describes South Polar region (Antarctica) in Spring.

Today, I heard a longer YouTube video of The Speaker (https://youtu.be/wEU54WwKrIU). The following is a brief explanation of why I disagree with some of his views in this video.

سَبَبًا

Yes, we live in the Space Age, and there are rockets and space shuttles going up and coming back. Earth-based and Space-travelling devices are sending in a great deal of news about what lies beyond Earth. Its fascinating to delve into the theories. The Quran (Q55:33) challenges humans and jinns (snakes, dragons, serpents) to cross the diameters of heavens and earth, and states that they will not be able to cross without authorisation. The Surah (Q55:35) also states that a flame of fire and smoke will be sent against them, and they will not be able to defend themselves. At other places in The Quran also, we read that the sky is being protected from devils (shayateen) as they are not authorised to travel beyond the sky of the Earth. The sky will be parted when it is time for the judgement and separation. The humans and jinns, who have been authorised to travel to the Gardens of Eternity in the Hereafter, will ascend through the gates in the sky. Some examples of authorised human travels through the skies are Adam عليه السلام, Enoch (Idris عليه السلام), Jesus (Isa عليه السلام) and Muhammad   . The Speaker has also recognised the authorised travels of these honourable personalities in his speeches.

The Speaker focuses on the word 'سَبَبًا' and cross-references it with other places where its used in The Quran, and points out that its Space travel. Yes, that's correct. I agree that other places in The Quran mention it in the context of the sky/skies; yet in Dhu-al-Qarnayn's case, Q18:84 states that he was established in the Earth, and had 'سَبَبًا' to all things. So, I understand what he was given was the ability / technology to fly anywhere on this planet Earth. Moreover, there are drawings on ancient ruins which seem to indicate that mighty ancient civilisations may have traveled in flying machines.

Bani Adam

The Speaker quotes a Hadith that Yajuj Majuj are the progeny of Adam عليه السلام, and a Hadith that the ratio of Yajuj Majuj to us humans is 999:1. Okay, if the Prophet  said so. The Speaker goes on to claim that they came into being through an extra-terrestrial asexual reproduction on some other planet using Adam's seed. If they were naturally created that way through Allah's decree, then there is no further need to discuss this point, as Allah is able to do all things. However, if technological hybrids were created by some corrupting civilisation, then hybrids are known to run into problems trying to reproduce. So, the other Hadith mentioning their huge number (nine hundred and ninety-nine Yajuj Majuj to each human on Earth) begs the question that how did they reproduce in such a great number. ... I think it is simpler to believe that they are on the same planet as we are, and they are a subspecies of genus Homo, with Adam عليه السلام as the MRCA (most recent common ancestor) of both species. Then where are they? May be underground, with only one route to come out, the one that was sealed by Dhu-al-Qarnayn.

Multiverse

The Speaker states that there are multiple Adam عليه السلام and multiple Muhammad ﷺ, one on each of  the seven Earths that are mentioned in Surah at-Talaq. If each Earth has its own version / copy of them, then why can each Earth not have its own version / copy of Yajuj Majuj?

In response to a question, he says that Adam عليه السلام and Muhammad  on each of those seven Earths are the same person as on this Earth. This seems more like the pagan belief of multiple births and deaths. The Quran is quite clear where it categorically states two deaths and two lives (Q2:28).

Moreover, we need to be very careful as science has a lot in common with pagan beliefs. We need to know where it diverges from the scripture, and where it indoctrinates us with falsehood. More on this at: Secular Science vs Creation Faith and Faith vs Science.

Seven Earths

I agree with The Speaker on the concept of seven earths being linked to the seven skies. I discuss that in Creation imagining them to be concentrically layered. However, that is besides the point.

Setting Place of The Sun

The Speaker states that the setting place of the Sun cannot be on this Earth, and then he goes on a lengthy explanation of black holes, their vicinity, and so on. He also mentions Surah Yasin ayat 38 in this regard.

However, there is a Hadith in which our dear Prophet  has explained the Sun's future rising from the West, and stated that that is the correct explanation of Surah Yasin's ayat 38. For a detailed discussion, please read: When the Sun rose from the West

Moreover, as mentioned earlier in this post, the geographical location of the first travel can be located as the North Polar region, as explained in Dhu al Qarnayn visited the Polar Regions?

The Speaker also makes a point about Dhu al Qarnayn being tested by being given the power to do what he wishes with the people he finds near the 'مَغْرِبَ الشَّمْسِ'. For my understanding of it, kindly read Act(s) of Reform (عَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ and عَمِلَ صَالِحًا)

Rising Place of The Sun

The Speaker states that the rising place of the Sun cannot be on this Earth, and then he goes on to say that its where the Sun was born. Furthermore, he argues as to what does it mean by no protection from the Sun.

It is a known fact that a natural hole in the ozone layer forms over Antarctica every spring. So, the geographical location of the second travel can be located as the South Polar region, also explained in Dhu al Qarnayn visited the Polar Regions?

بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ

Between two barriers. Yes, I believe this translation is correct. The third place where Dhu al Qarnayn went was between two barriers. However, I do not know what those barriers are.

لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًا

The Speaker thinks that they have a problem understanding speech. I don't think so. They had a meaningful conversation with Dhu al Qarnayn resulting in him asking them to help him with labour and material to construct what he constructed to contain the Yajuj Majuj.

The word يَفْقَهُونَ indicates a lack of legal understanding. I think that they were suffering from lawlessness due to the corruption being perpetuated by Yajuj Majuj, as mentioned in Dhu al Qarnayn visited the Polar Regions?

مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ

The Yajuj Majuj were causing corruption in the Earth. The Quran mentions that a destroyed place will return when Yajuj Majuj are released. I understand this to be Babylon, as mentioned in The Bible. More on this at: Gog Magog & The City that will Return

Angels

The Speaker made some comments about angels. Surah al-Isra mentions that angels do not walk in peace on Earth, indicating that somewhere they do walk in peace. A little bit on it at: Wings: Permanent or Temporary?

Surah Saba ayaat 40-41 inform us that on the day Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ will ask the angels if they were worshipped by the humans. They will respond that humans used to worship the jinns. Please read: The Serpent & The Snake: a Clear Sign

Jinns

The Speaker spoke about Jinns. I think he said they are made of energy.

My learning from The Quran is that they are snakes, and may be other reptiles. Kindly read: جَانٌّ (Snake || Jinn) and The Creation & Emergence of Species.

Dajjal

The Speaker mentioned that dajjal was seen by a Sahabi رضي الله عنه who reported it to the Prophet . Therefore, he has been alive for several centuries. He mentioned something about dajjal time-travelling, which I didn't understand. Does he think that even dajjal is on another planet or in a parallel universe? If so, how was the Sahabi رضي الله عنه able to see him during his voyage, unless he also crossed some portal, and time-travelled to another universe?

Does The Speaker think that the sahabi رضي الله عنه went through the confluence of the two seas similar to where Moses (Musa عليه السلام)'s travel (by foot) to meet the person he wanted to learn رُشۡدًا‏ from? That place is on this planet Earth, isn't it?

Isn't there another Hadith about some sahabis رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ suspecting a person to be the dajjal, and considering killing him, upon which they were advised to not to do so, as if that person isn't dajjal, they will be guilty of killing an innocent person, and if that person is dajjal, then only Jesus (Isa عليه السلام) can kill him?

Our Prophet  has informed us that the dajjal will be one-eyed, while Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ is not one-eyed.

Prophet  has informed us that every prophet warned his people about the fitna of the dajjal. Many religions expect the appearance of a deceiver, an anti-Christ, when the Hour is near.

They also expect a Messiah to be especially sent to save the Believers and destroy the dajjal.

The dajjal is expected to eventually claim to be god, and many people will end up worshipping him. Before him, the Pharaoh of ancient Egypt claimed to be god. Before him, the King who argued with Abraham (Ibrahim عليه السلام) claimed to have control over life and death. So, in the scriptures, we have historical precedence about such trials which the ancients were tested with.

Allah   has made it clear that it is not possible for us to see him while we are in this world. Allah  has given us details about Himself in The Quran, and we need to study it so that we are not deceived into worship of anyone else. The Ayat about The Shin gives a hint of the first glimpse that we may get of our Creator on the Day of Judgement.

[Al-Quran Surah Al-Kahf 18:110]
