Islam grants many rights and privileges to women:

1. Women have a right to be financially supported 
2. Women have a right to be housed
3. Women have a right to be clothed 
4. Women have a right to be fed 
5. Women have a right to not have to be the family's bread earner 
6. Women have a right to refuse public roles and responsibilities 
7. Women have the right to choose public roles and responsibilities 
8. Women have no obligation to serve public roles and responsibilities 
9. Women have the right to earn money
10. Women have a right to be wealthy 
11. Women have no financial responsibilities towards any family member 
12. Women have a right to be protected from harm 
13. Women have a share in the inheritance, with no obligation to spend on anyone 
14. Women have a right to be paid 'Mehr' when ratifying the 'nikah' 
15. Women need not spend the 'Mehr' on anyone
16. Women cannot be asked to return the 'Mehr' in cases of 'talaq'
17. Women have a right to be cared for 
18. Women can pray obligatory prayers at home
19. Women do not have to show up at the Masjid for congregational prayers
20. Women can choose to offer prayers in congregation at the Masjid  
21. Women are not required to do public dawah 
22. Women do not have to fight in battles and wars 
23. Widows have a right to be supported by society
