What is Not Right in Religion

 ...

An-Nisa (4:171)

Aey ehle kitab! apne deen mein ghulu (excess) na karo aur Allah ki taraf haqq ke siwa koi baat mansoob na karo, Maseeh Isa Ibne Mariyam iske siwa kuch na tha ke Allah ka ek Rasool tha aur ek farmaan tha jo Allah ne Maryam ki taraf bheja aur ek Rooh thi Allah ki taraf se (jisne Maryam ke reham mein bacchey ki shakal ikhtiyar ki) pas tum Allah aur uske Rasoolon par iman lao, aur na kaho ke “Teen (trinity)” hain baaz aa jao , yeh tumhare hi liye behtar hai, Allah to bas ek hi khuda hai , woh baala-tar hai issey ke koi uska beta ho. Zameen aur aasmano ki saari cheezein uski milk hain, aur inki kafalat o khabargiri ke liye bas wahi kaafi hai

Al-Ma'idah (5:77)

Kaho, aey ehle kitab! Apne deen mein na-haqq ghulu (go beyond bounds/ commit excess) na karo aur un logon ke taqelaat (inclinations/khwahishat) ki pairwi na karo jo tumse pehle khud gumraah huey aur bahuton ko gumrah kiya, aur “ sawa e sabeel (right path)” se bhatak gaye

The Prophet was told to say to the people of the scripture (the jews and the christians): [Q4:171 (لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلْحَقَّ)], and again: [Q5:77 (لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ)]

Q4:171 is a longer ayat in that it explains the reality of Messiah Jesus as

  1. the son of Mary
  2. the Messenger of Allah
  3. a Word from Him that was sent into Mary
  4. a Spirit / Command from Him
So,
  1. believe in Allah
  2. believe in His Messenger
  3. DO NOT say TRINITY
  4. it is better for you
Indeed,
  1. your god is One God
  2. Free from the Imperfection you ascribe to Him of having a son
  3. His is whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth
  4. and Allah is enough as a Guardian

Q5:77 condenses the phrase to

Note both use the word (ٱلْحَقِّ): in Q5:77 for (فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ), and in Q4:171 for making statements about Allah (وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلْحَقَّ).

Q5:77 (فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ): in the religion without right

Q4:171 (وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلْحَقَّ) and don't say about Allah except right/truth/reality

Allah is the Only Deity so nobody has a right to add anyone to His Divinity

Deen of Allah is Allah's Decree, so nobody has a right to alter it.

Deen (دِينِ) is the Law of Recompense, generally translated as 'religion'. The Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) basically have the same Deen (the Law of Recompense that Allah will recompense humans with on the Day of Judgement).

Shariah is the set of Laws of Recompense revealed to humans in the scriptures (Torah, Injeel, Quran) for humans to establish justice through in the world. Each religious community is expected to judge by what has been revealed to them.

So, the Deen is common across the Abrahamic Religions: ONE GOD without any partners in HIS WORSHIP.

Allah is the Rabb (رَبِّ) and the Malik (مٰلِك) [Q1].

It is not right to add any deity to the worship of Allah.

The Quran condemns the Christians association of Jesus as a son with God, the Jewish association of Ezra as a son of God, and it condemns the concept of trinity in all its forms and versions.

Trinity and Son of God are concepts found across many belief systems. The Quran rejects any and all such associations with Allah. There is only One God.

There is no deity but Allah (God), Muhammad is the messenger of Allah (God).

We need to always remember that the esteemed Messengers of Allah are humans.

God (Allah) is One and Only.

He does not share His Divinity with anyone.

Allah alone is God.

Allah is The Owner / The King of The Day of Judgement.

Allah's DEEN will prevail.

Allah will JUDGE between His slaves.

The false deen(s) of the polytheists will not prevail.

Those who follow false deen(s) will find themselves abandoned by whom they take as their gods.

Humans are duly warned against joining any gods with God (Allah), and against committing excesses in Allah's DEEN, without right.

  1. It is not right to worship anyone other than Allah
  2. It is not right to take life Allah has made sacred other than the exceptions already described in The Book
  3. It is not right to have illegal sexual relations

The above three great sins are listed in Surah alFurqan, and are to be found in the lists of ten commandments in The Torah and The Quran.
