The Quran repeatedly brings up the topic of eternal residence in the hereafter, be it in the gardens of bliss, or in the fire of hell. 

The Quran constantly demands 'taqwa' from the believers. In fact, it begins with the statement that it is a guidance for the 'muttaqeen'. 

The Quran repeatedly instructs to warn, so that the reminder benefits the believers. 

The purpose of The Quran is to remind, so that whoever wants to be saved can take guidance. Surah az-Zukhruf (the gold ornaments) begins thus:

حٰمٓ ​ ۛ​ۚ‏ ١ وَالۡكِتٰبِ الۡمُبِيۡنِ ​ ۛ​ۙ‏ ٢ اِنَّا جَعَلۡنٰهُ قُرۡءٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ​ۚ‏ ٣ وَاِنَّهٗ فِىۡۤ اُمِّ الۡكِتٰبِ لَدَيۡنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيۡمٌؕ‏ ٤ اَفَنَضۡرِبُ عَنۡكُمُ الذِّكۡرَ صَفۡحًا اَنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ قَوۡمًا مُّسۡرِفِيۡنَ‏  ٥ وَكَمۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ نَّبِىٍّ فِى الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏ ٦ وَمَا يَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ نَّبِىٍّ اِلَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ‏ ٧ فَاَهۡلَـكۡنَاۤ اَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ بَطۡشًا وَّمَضٰى مَثَلُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏ ٨

Ha-Mim By the Book that makes things clear,- We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom). And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom. Shall We then take away the Message from you and repel (you), for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds? But how many were the prophets We sent amongst the peoples of old? And never came there a prophet to them but they mocked him. So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old.

Allah ﷻ has imposed Mercy on His Nafs. 

Allah ﷻ grants Bani Adam a lifetime of chances to repent and reform. 

Allah ﷻ reminds us, in Surah arRahman, that HE ((arRahman)Q55:1) has taught The Quran (Q55:2); created The Human (Q55:3), taught The Explanation (Q55:4). 

So, it is our responsibility to explain The Quran to best of our ability and understanding, so that as many people as desire to be saved, and become eligible for Allah ﷻ 's Mercy, can take heed. 

Surah arRahman is immediately followed by Surah alWaqiah. It begins with the scene of The Hour and then The Judgement, when people will be sorted into three groups: 

1. the foremost in this world will be the foremost in the Hereafter, and will be the closest to Allah ﷻ , enjoying Gardens full of Blessings 
2. the companions of the right will be many, and they are promised many comforts     
3. the companions of the left will be many, and they will suffer terribly, because of the luxury they enjoyed in this world, indulging in major sins, because of their questioning the resurrection and they belied, astray from The Deen (the laws of recompense)   

Surah arRahman lists many manifestations of Allah ﷻ 's Mercy, and repeatedly questions: then which of Works of your Lord will you both belie. Surah alWaqiah mentions in detail the consequence of the belying. 

May Allah عزوجل bestow Mercy upon us, and grant us blessings and comforts.
