Homosexuality vs Shariah Laws


The Quran (Q4:15-18) is very clear that homosexuality is a punishable offence: home confinement for women, and inflicting pain on the two men who indulge in it, till they abandon this sin. The term it uses for the sin is alFahishata. 

The Quran is also very explicit about the Nation of Messenger Lot (Lut عليه السلام), who received divine punishment for their corruption. It highlights homosexuality as their major crime. Except for Messenger Lot (Lut عليه السلام) and his family, no one survived. Even his wife was one of those punished. 

In the United Nations General Assembly, the President of USA (Donald Trump (Christian)) has accused the Mayor of London (Sadiq Khan (Muslim)) of 'wanting to go to Shariah Law'. This is a paradox. 

Sadiq Khan is an open supporter of LGBTQ+, and has publicly participated in London Pride, vowing to protect the interests of the Pride Community in London.  

Shariah is the the set of Divine Law, given in each divinely revealed scripture, for the followers of that religion, to judge by: 


I hope this post finds the Mayor of London, and helps him reconsider his 'Muslimness' in the light of the guidance provided in the divinely-revealed scripture that he 'professes faith' in. 

I hope this post finds the President of USA, and helps him reconsider his statement about the Mayor of London.  

I hope this post finds all followers of Abrahamic religions, and helps them reconsider their 'submission to the Shariah (Law)' in the light of the guidance provided in the  divinely-revealed scripture that they 'profess faith' in.
