Getting Married & Having Children

Contraception, why not!

...

The Heights (7:172-174)

7:172

And when your Lord brought forth from the children of Adam, from their backs, their descendants, and made them bear witness against their own souls (nafs): Am I not your Lord? They said: Yes! we bear witness. Lest you should say on the day of resurrection: Surely we were heedless of this.

7:173

Or you should say: Only our fathers associated others (with Allah) before, and we were an offspring after them: Wilt Thou then destroy us for what the vain doers did?

7:174

And thus do We make clear the communications, and that haply they might return.

Every person and his nafs is in pledge.

Every person took the Shahadah that Allah is the Rabb of their Nafs (soul).

Allah is the Rabb, and He provides for each Nafs (soul). Some are given plenty, some limited quantities, but Allah provides for each Nafs (soul) according to His Decree. The Quran clearly forbids the killing of children (Q6:151, Q17:31).

All the descendants of Bani Adam have a purpose. Bani Adam are given this life to sift the Believing Men and Believing Women from the Hypocrite Men and Hypocrite Women and from the Polytheist Men and the Polytheist Women. Allah intends to turn in Mercy to the Believing Men and Believing Women, as Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (Q33:72-73).

Therefore,

  • each person and his soul (nafs) needs to come in this world.
  • every person and his soul (nafs) needs to be born.
  • every person and his soul (nafs) must be allowed to be conceived.

People should be encouraged to get married, have children, and flourish.

As the saying goes: Getting Married is completing Half Your Deen.

Also, people should be grateful for how many or how few descendants Allah grants them, and when, neither trying to interfere nor intervene to hasten or delay.
